This classic south Indian black tea steeps up medium to full-bodied, with a bold flavor profile that contains the round/sweet notes of Nilgiri black teas but with the tiniest brisk note. If you like "regular black tea", not all that fancy stuff, this is the tea for you.
This mid-season steamed tea from Anhui Province in China is in the Japanese flat leaf style but at a much more affordable price. This lovely tea has to be a bargain compared to the fastidious Japanese version. It has an assertive vegetal twang and a distinct, bright green liquor.
